Operational problems turned into working systems.

Selected AUTOMETA projects show how process redesign, automation, and purpose-built systems can improve real operational work.

FincoBD Corporate Accounting, Budgeting & Financial Reporting System

The challenge

Corporate financial management involves far more than recording income and expenses. A company must maintain accurate accounting records, control approvals, manage receivables and payables, track cash and inventory, handle assets and liabilities, prepare budgets, reconcile balances, close accounting periods, and produce reliable financial statements. When these activities are spread across separate files, manual processes, or disconnected systems, it becomes difficult to maintain consistency and trace every reported figure back to its original financial record. The challenge was to create one financial system that could support the complete corporate accounting cycle while keeping financial information controlled, consistent, reviewable, and ready for management reporting and external audit.

Smart Procurement & Inventory Management System

The challenge

Construction material management involves many connected activities, from requesting materials and approving purchases to selecting suppliers, receiving deliveries, managing stock, and tracking costs. When these activities are handled through separate spreadsheets, messages, paper records, or disconnected systems, it becomes difficult to know what has been requested, what has been approved, what has been purchased, what has arrived, and what is currently available across different projects and warehouses. The challenge was to create one system that could bring the entire construction procurement and inventory process together while giving different teams the information and controls they need for their own responsibilities.

Amar Dokan Retail Management App

The challenge

Small retail shops in Bangladesh operate very differently from the environments traditional POS and inventory systems are usually designed for. Shop owners often handle a high volume of small transactions, flexible pricing, customer credit, changing product demand, and many everyday sales that are difficult to record through rigid digital processes. Conventional retail software can add too many steps to these activities, making digital record keeping slower than the way shopkeepers already work. The challenge was to design a complete shop management application that could support real retail operations without forcing shopkeepers to change the way they naturally run their businesses.

Psychiatry Diagnosis Support System

The challenge

Differential diagnosis in psychiatry is a careful, step-by-step process. A psychiatrist must begin with the patient's presenting problems, gather information without making early assumptions, identify meaningful clinical signs and symptoms, explore the right diagnostic pathways, and gradually narrow the possibilities into a list of candidate disorders. The challenge was to make this full differential diagnosis process work inside a software system. The software needed to support the natural flow of clinical reasoning without jumping directly to a diagnosis. It had to help the psychiatrist move from ordinary patient descriptions to relevant clinical findings, follow the appropriate differential pathways, consider more than one possibility when needed, and build a structured list of candidate disorders for further evaluation. At the same time, the psychiatrist had to remain in control of every important clinical decision throughout the process.

BSM-Friendship — Beneficiary Session Management System

The challenge

Friendship’s psychosocial support workflow required a reliable way to manage beneficiary sessions in a field environment where continuous internet connectivity could not be assumed. Psychologists needed more than a simple data-entry form. The workflow had to identify returning beneficiaries, distinguish new and follow-up cases correctly, reuse existing profile information, detect potential duplicate visits, search and edit historical records, prepare monthly summaries, generate controlled Excel reports, and protect the local working database through backup and recovery. A generic online form or spreadsheet-based process would not adequately represent those operational requirements.
